Year 7 Girls Futsal Competition

On this occasion the Year 7 Girls Futsal tournament was played as a round-robin event, with every team playing all the others. Two sports leaders took responsibility for refereeing all 21 matches. With just three games to go Stafford Sports College had finished on 13 pts and the deciding game between Sir Graham Balfour and Christ Church Middle School meant that they could mathematically still win. This uncertainty was soon dispelled with Christ Church running out 2 – 0 winners and so taking the title.

Steve Glover, Partnership Development Manager said, "Once again the futsal went down to the very last game. The girls played with great spirit and passion, which was proved to be very competitive. Well done to Christ Church Academy who will now represent Stafford and Stone SSP in the Staffordshire finals."
