Stafford and Stone School Sport Partnership are thrilled that a Stafford pupil has been chosen to perform at an upcoming National School Sport Conference.

Georgia Stanway, a talented Netball player, who volunteers weekly at Stafford Netball Club alongside playing for the ladies team, will headline the gala dinner at the upcoming Youth Sport Trust Conference.

Georgia, a sixth former at Blessed William Howard will be singing a variety of songs during the dinner at the National Conference Centre in Telford in February.  Guests will include teachers, Headteachers, top politicians and Olympians.

Georgia, also a dancer, has been singing for the past few years and other appearances include singing at the Stafford Christmas Lights switch on.  More recently she was Stafford Raw Talent winner with the prize being a contract to produce her first E.P.

Georgia’s musical background began when she started to learn the violin in year 3. She decided to start to learn the guitar in year 7, and now in year 12, she has been writing songs and singing for the past couple of years.

Stafford and Stone School Sport Partnership Development manager Steve Glover said , “I am thrilled that Georgia has been chosen to headline at the Gala Dinner.  She has been dancing and singing at a number of our events for the past two years.  This is a great opportunity for her and I am sure she will be a big hit.”
