Local student Hannah Gamston, Blessed William Howard High School, is to perform at the National School Sport Conference at Telford on Thursday 13th October.
Hannah, aged 17, is a talented sportsperson, especially in Netball. Aside from netball, she plays many other sports and is also heavily involved in Sports Leadership. Recently she was chosen as Sports Coordinator for the sixth form in an aim at engaging more students in sport.

Hannah will be singing at the closing ceremony prior to an inspirational talk by Olympic Gold Medalist Denise Lewis and will also sing again following Denise and Youth Sport Trust Chief Exectutive, Barroness Sue Cambpell.
Stafford and Stone School Sport Partnership Development Manager, Steve Glover said, "Hannah is an immense talent. She has been invovled in the partnership for the last three years, not only in a sports leadership role but also performing at many of our events. A recent peformance was at the Gatehouse Theatre in the summer for our Dance Festival where the audience was really moved by her voice. We are thrilled that she has been chosen to close the conference by singing "What have you done lately to make you feel proud?".
Hannah, stated, "I am really exciting by the prospect at singing at such a prestigous event. I have a passion for sport and my ambition in life is to become a PE teacher. I feel so proud to be able to sing at such a large and important sporting event and really looking forward to meeting Denise Lewis and Baroness Sue Campbell."
